Products Virage ODBC Export Plug-in
The Virage ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) database plug-in allows
you to insert metadata extracted by the VideoLogger into any database
that has an ODBC driver. This includes Microsoft Access, Oracle, Informix,
SQL Server 2000, FoxPro and even Excel spreadsheets. The use of ODBC allows
for the easy migration of the underlying database as your requirements
change. Metadata export to your ODBC database can take place dynamically
as the video is being indexed, or on a staged-basis. Exporting metadata
with the Virage ODBC allows new video content to be indexed into your
exsisting database and queried using your standard canned queries. The
Virage ODBC Export Plug-in can be configured to utilize custom db schema,
or default schema. The Virage ODBC Export Plug-in also can launch external
programs used to create dynamic content web pages.
