Some training is more effective in an instructor-led environment. This is true in circumstances such as the following:

• When many new concepts are introduced that require analysis and assimilation
• When it is critical that the training be completed in a timely manner (many people start e-training, but never complete it)
• When an environment that encourages an exchange
  of ideas is important
• When social interaction is important to understanding
  the material
